The Centre, New Eltham Methodist Church, 435-9 Footscray Road, New Eltham

New Eltham Community Productions invite you to solve the mystery of his unhappy demise, working with a team of up to 6 'detectives' and a few clues to help you. Fog Machine: a solo exhibition by Rob Lye - 6:00 pm-8:00 pm

Gerald Moore Gallery, Mottingham Lane, London, SE9 4RW

The Gerald Moore Gallery is delighted to announce ‘Fog Machine’, an exhibition of a new body of work by artist and filmmaker Rob Lye, developed during his residency at Eltham College. The exhibition runs from 23 April -16 May 2026 in the Gerald Moore Gallery’s GF space.

‘Fog Machine’ is a continuation of the artist’s ongoing investigation into landscape as a site where material, memory and environment converge. At the centre of the exhibition is a new moving-image work, 'AFON', filmed in the landscape surrounding the artist’s home in Wiltshire. The film focuses on the River Avon and the industrial terrain associated with the former Avon Rubber factory.

Through layered moving image and shifting atmospheres, 'AFON' traces the residual presence of industry across the terrain. The river functions as both a physical and symbolic current, carrying traces of labour, extraction and transformation through the landscape.

Private View: Thurs 23 April 2026, 6 - 8pm
Open: Saturdays 10am–4pm (or by appointment)
